Havebury Housing Partnership selects Wheatley Associates' software to manage its repairs service

01 Dec, 2005

Wheatley Associates, a leading UK provider of software solutions used by companies Worldwide to schedule home appointments by service technicians, has been awarded a contract by Havebury Housing Partnership, which owns 5,700 homes for affordable rent in West Suffolk. Wheatley’s software solution, called GRASP, will be used by Havebury to increase its efficiency in booking and fulfilling housing repair appointments for tenants.

Karen Mayhew, Director of Housing at West Suffolk based Havebury Housing Partnership, said,“Our repairs service is very important to tenants and Havebury aims to provide a consistently high quality and cost effective service, particularly with regards booking and managing appointments. This new system will help reduce costs and increase efficiency by allowing us to offer time banded appointments. Technicians will have immediate access to up-to-date information about parts and appointment times through their hand-held terminals”.

John Wheatley. Managing Director of Wheatley Associates commented GRASP is a revolutionary end to end product which is taking over from more traditional diary management systems which lack the integration of hand held devices and interfaces with other systems. We are hoping our products will become the de facto standard in housing and local government in 2006”.

Havebury Housing Partnership is committing over £1 million per month to a five year programme of improvements to tenants’ homes and over 15,000 repairs were completed in the 2004/2005 financial year by its team of 55 technicians. The standard of repairs and the attitudes and tidiness of Havebury’s repairs’ team have been ranked higher by its tenants than 100 other housing associations across the UK, according to a survey commissioned by the Housing Corporation.
