OnStream selects the JUMBO asset management tool
OnStream have selected Wheatley Associate’s smart metering asset management tool to be at the core of its Transformation Project.
Suffolk, UK - June 2010 - Wheatley Associates announces that OnStream, owned by National Grid and a leading provider of gas and electricity metering solutions in Great Britain, has chosen Wheatley Associates’ JUMBO asset management software to be part of its Transformation Project. The Transformation Project is a business wide initiative to enable OnStream to become the leading UK player in the roll-out and management of smart metering solutions. To do this OnStream needs to be able to maintain a full asset register to include smart and dumb meters, together with a need to be able to record and track these assets throughout their lifetime. OnStream has recognised that JUMBO provides the ideal solution to support these smart metering ambitions.
"Wheatley Associates' JUMBO solution will support the transformation of our business with dual fuel capability. As the market leaders in smart asset management and their flexibility to work with our other chosen suppliers there was no question that Wheatley systems would form a key part of our strategy for the future."
Declan McLaughlin, OnStream's Head of Transformation.
Wheatley Associates build and supply some of the largest metering systems to many of the UK’s utility companies, its software handling millions of the country’s meters as part of their suite of tools that deliver an end to end solution.
"JUMBO was designed for dual fuel capability and by working in partnership with OnStream, JUMBO will continue to grow, embracing the advent of smart meters and the smart grid, delivering the most flexible, scalable and reliable meter asset management solution in the world."
